On Tuesday, June 2, members of the Chesaning United board presented mini-grants to local entities for their nonprofit community projects. This year’s Chesaning United community service fundraiser brought in approximately $25,000 in donations. This year, Chesaning United began the practice of awarding mini grants twice a year. This is the first batch this year. The next round of mini grants will go out in the fall.

Each of the following non-profit organizations received approximately $2,000 for their projects. Rica Beeler and Charley Kline accepted the check on behalf of the Young at Heart Club at the Chesaning Senior Center. River Rapids District Library Director Lynne Clark accepted a check on behalf of the library. Howie Ebenhoeh and Nick Lemanski represented the Chesaning Duck Race held Friday, June 5th. Dave and Tina Sutton accepted the check awarded to the Manna from Heaven food distribution. Rita Huff Vsetula accepted the check awarded to the Brady Senior Center.
